Welcome to Utricularia Graminifolia Aquascape Tips

This is a blog where I will be sharing my aquascaping tips for planting, growing and maintaining a successful Utricularia Graminifolia carpet in your aquarium or aquascape. UG is an easy plant to grow as long as certain parameters and steps are followed.   It is one of the most beautiful carpeting plants, and will give you a golf course green look.  I will explain equipment and products I've used below and why to help alleviate some of the mystery around UG.   There is a LOT of bad information out there about it, and I will be sharing what has been successful for me.

Equipment Used

Here is a list of equipment used. There are many variations on the same equipment, this is just what I used or had on hand. Whether some of the choices led to success of tank or not, is up to you decide or try for yourself.  This is just the exact ingredient list, take it for face value and use suitable alternatives when available to you.  I will discuss in the posts why I chose to use this equipment specifically and the pros and cons.
